Iconic Aussie band Augie March are set to hit the stage at Ballarat’s Civic Hall, supported by Be_Hear/Now cohort acts Coda Chroma and Dayfever.
Straddling the various sub and mainstream cultures of the Australian music world, Augie March are about as indie as can be.
The award-winning music legends will be supported by innovative Ballarat songwriter Coda Chroma and indie/alt rock band Day Fever, formed by well-known local musician Connor Toomey.
You can catch this exclusive one-night only show on Saturday 10 August from 7pm.

Free Live Music Conference
If you’re an aspiring musician in town for the show, don’t miss the free Be_Hear/Now Live Music Conference at Civic Hall.
The Be_Hear/Now program helps find, foster and develop ‘talent worth watching’ within the Ballarat region. Across the weekend of 10-11 August, there will be talks, discussions and workshops bookended by performances by this year’s cohort: Surfe, ZÖJ, Aaliyah, Dayfever and Coda Chroma.
Janet English, bass guitarist and singer from Spiderbait, will participate in a panel at the conference, providing a keynote address with insights into her songwriter process and mistakes she has made over her career.
The event will include a chance to meet movers and shakers in the music business, including representatives from APRA AMCOS, Music Victoria, Unified Artist Management and more. Musicians will get a chance to pitch their projects and understand what it takes to make it in the music world.

Opening 12 October at the Art Gallery of Ballarat, Medieval to Metal: The Art & Evolution of the Guitar tracks the history of the world’s most popular instrument from its medieval beginnings through to the guitar’s pivotal role in blues, country, rock ‘n’ roll and metal.
